Yes, I have voted. We had a choice of 7 candidates in our constituency, including the fact that our MP has, after many years, decided to stand down. I would presume their party will get back in, but interesting to see how the 2 (yes, 2) Independent candidates fair ( Read more... )

Yesterday I had a lovely time as I went with Christine to Forde Abbey, which had been started in the 12th century, and is still live in now. Sadly as it's privately owned no photography was allowed indoors, and my camera finger itched, but I was a good girl.

However as you can see, we were allowed to walk and enjoy the gardens -

This morning after breakfast I just had a short walk around where I lived, and look at all the beautiful flowers I saw. I was amazed at the range seeing as it's been so cold and wet recently!

Yes, I managed to do a shift on the switchboard .... I don't think I lost anyone in the system ... but will admit some of it was slow going. I didn't pick up as many calls as maybe I could have done, but it was nice to do some, relax for a few minutes and do some more. Well, after a slight panic in the morning yesterday.  Exeter is doing a lot of road closures, and from where I live to get to my Church I need to do an extra 3 mile drive now.  So frustrating.  I can understand that some roads are narrow and need help, but it is so frustrating.  The road I live in was closed a couple of years ago, and even though ( Read more... )
