Movies I've Seen...Upcoming Films..

Jun 27, 2012 03:14

It’s officially summer (yes!) and the summer films have been a mixed bag (poor “Battleship”, “Avengers” heroes must have the power of mind control-a billion in box office?). This weekend saw Pixar’s 16th number one film with “Brave”. But I like to think of all of these films as the appetizers before “The Dark Knight Rises”.

Yep, it’s a TDKR post )

Tatum isn't terrible in it at all. This is his milieu so he's good. There was only one scene where he was displaying dismay and stammering and halting his words to convey it where I thought, "What are you doing? Who told you to do that." You won't need that many drinks after all.

Steve is varied in his interests. Remember "Ocean's 12" the one where Julia Roberts plays Tess playing Julia Roberts?

Did you at least like Channing's first dance sequence? He's at least talented in that realm. How about all the flat bootys in the film? Did that grant at least a smirk?

I’m already spinning the idea that what happened in this edited video of Jensen approaching L’il Ian on the press line at the Upfronts is that Jensen slapped Ian with a glove nattingly tucked away in his pocket on behalf of Tom.

NO! Unbelieveable! That must be why there is so little of him in this post.

What can I say, I fall fast and it goes away that quickly. Maybe it’s the beard from hell that’s obscuring the love.

Is Lawless the film that Mr. LowBuff beat him up on set?

Yep. That’s the one where Shia left Tom a quivering mass. Laid him out. Such a moron.

And yet, they seem so friendly. What Great Actors!

This is why Little Shia is still working because I’ve watched their interviews together and I thought I could sense the tension but nope, none. Maybe Tom is too scared of Shia to throw him shade. ::rolls eyes::

DAYYYYYUMMY! This is how to dress on the Red Carpet. All she needs is a big White Crane Hat on her Head.At every event she was a stunner. I ( ... )

I swear the general audience at my screening were women (the majority) and gay men (about a dozen). That’s where the money lies. Let us spend it on half nekkid men!

I really like Channing Tatum: great body, good enough face

LOL! He’s right on the cusp. I think his eyes are too small and close together. That’s what keeping me from giving him good face. Good enough is right.

, great personality

He has that in spades.

---some stars don't have to act, it's their personality that makes them so appealing (Jimmy Stewart, Will Smith, and Doris Day). I am a FAN!

That’s great company he’s in. I wish him all of the success he deserves.

And on your recommendation, I will see the End of the World movie.Maybe see the matinee. I mean I loved it but I don’t want to oversell it to folks. I like End of the World films because seeing how people tend to face death in these films intrigues me. It tends to be the writer invoking all the things they would want to do or think they would want to do. It usually seems to be an examination of when it’ ( ... )

You had me at Magic Mike, but I stayed for Tom, the shout-out to Fast 6, and Dwayne "The Rock-Hot Sauce" Johnson. Yeah, I can see the Viagra comparison, but I've always thought of him as hot sauce, because you can eat a meal without it, and it's just a meal, but throw in the hot sauce--and, well, BAM, it's something special then. Like Dwayne "Big Sexy 'Rock' Haute Sauce" Johnson. Luke Evans is in this, too? I think I need to have a seat, because slashing Brian with Carter Verone (Cole Hauser) was bad enough, now I'll have visions of that Dom/Brian/Bad Guy!Luke sandwich.

I’ve subtitled it “Fast and Furious: Dom and Brian Get MarriedThat was actually Fast Five. Fast 6 is Brian and Dom: Guess which is Mr. Mom. I'm pretty sure civil unions are legal in Brazil, so we (or I ) can assume that Dom and Brian did it up with all of that money stolen during the heist. Honeymoons can be expensive, plus Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson aka Hobbs needed a big tip for making it rain like it was the apocalypse all day--everyday ( ... )

Best. Analogy. Ever!!!

And British villains are just that much better than bland American villains (I’m hoping he keeps the accent).

Half went to the honeymoon, the other for their baby’s college fund!

Tom Welling is flawfree and eternal. JA wishes he could be as amazing as our true WB alien prince.

He’s looking for a crossroads demon to make that deal with.

I've never seen Fay Bing Bing in anything but those are good red carpet dresses.

I have a friend who buys Chinese magazines and papers so he always cuts out pictures of her for me. I have no context for my love of her style.

Too bad about Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. The book is an entertaining and quick read. Rottentomatoes has a very low score on that one though.

I think the director didn’t want to make it camp, but straight forward, but you can’t with that plotline. It has to be more of a wink and a nod.

I'm a bit worried about Brave.

A friend who was dying to see it saw it and was underwhelmed. She liked it well enough but she thought it was going to be a different type of film. It’s really more about the mother/daughter relationship and she thought it would be more about a battle for her own independence like the trailer.

Motherhood is simultaneously called the most important job in the world but all these attacks on women's bodies, whether it be how they look or how much control they have over them, also ( ... )

Wow, Surprise Tom/Jensen!

Django Unchained looks good except...I wish QT had cast a much hotter guy as Django. Foxx doesn't do it for me and I know I'll be watching, wishing it was Idris Elba. Can you imagine how hot Idris would be with the gun & those clothes, with Christolph? Nice to see Leo finally having fun in a role after all the stodgy Scorcese films.

Aidan recently celebrated a birthday. Not being on Twitter, his girlfriend tweeted this message from him.
He's so lovely...that photo's enchanting: hair, smile, sweater, sea-side!

That would be too much to handle!

I hope he chews the scenery. I’m so tired of these safe choices of his. The last movie he really was able to play a broad role was “The Beach”. Or maybe “Catch Me If You Can” came before that. He needs to show his range.

He’s a dear heart! I wish there were more interviews of him. I hope he’s the breakout star from “The Hobbit”. He can be this film’s Orlando Bloom.
