It's been a while. It's the longest time I've ever gone without journaling. Something about almost dying - it can startle one. And I keep dreaming about Randy.
The first week back from the mission... was a blur.
At some point, I spent time throwing pottery with Jana... and I don't remember a single thing that she said. She prattled on about the ( Read more... ) -
I would update if I could remember what happened.
I don't know what happened. All I can say is that the first thing I want to do is call Ari and Joray, but I don't want them to see me like this... don't want them to know what's happened (especially when I barely know, myself ( Read more... ) -
Nothing to do but sit on this transport
I'm sitting on a transport, headed for who knows where, and am going to be gone for... who knows how many days? I can't write out, because unnecessary communication with anyone but our Starfleet contact (and I have no idea who that is)... via our team leader (that being Diz)... is not condoned. Everything will have to wait until we're safely home ( Read more... ) -
Therav.
Two things happened in the last twelve or so hours.
The first is this:
We were having a nice quiet night. I like these quiet nights, and we have enough of them to worry that I'm going to become spoiled.
I fell asleep pretty early, and occasionally I'd wake up a little and see Therav reading his PADD, and I'd curl against him and go back to sleep... ( Read more... ) -
It's time to take a breath.
It's been some time. I have been up to my ears in stuff and so it's probably been the longest (short of a conflict situation) that I've gone without an update in quite a while ( Read more... ) -
He made a mean bouillabaisse.
His way of making it up to me was to make me a nice meal.
I recall vaguely that some time before that little... issue a few days ago, we'd been talking about food. I mentioned that I'd been craving fish stew for quite some time... specifically a decent bouillabaisse and was looking forward to having that, some wine and some crusty bread next time ( Read more... ) -
I guess it's okay, but I have questions now.
So, after all of that, I saw him on the lift today. He looked up and met my gaze, and he reached over for my hand as the others were offboarding. He looked at the ground, wrapped his other hand around it and he looked up at me. He asked me to meet him for dinner, and said I would be pleased ( Read more... ) -
Maybe he's getting smart about this finally.
I'm trying to make sense of this.
He's gotten a little distant and strange.
Usually, I sleep like a stone for the whole eight hours. Like the dead.
And much of the time that one of us has stayed over, I've slept right through his much smaller sleep cycle (if he even has one while we're together).

Rough spell.
Something's wrong.
I'm not really sure how to talk about this, and to be honest, I'm not even really sure what's wrong.
I'm not going to discuss this with anyone. I'll watch, and wait... and see what happens. -
Even if it's as pointless as hating the Whigs... and good literature is good literature...
I just don't have the heart to tell Therav that his new favorite poet was a Communist.
Or for that matter that I've read him in Spanish.
