I've been needing a jointer for the woodshop for quite a while now, to ensure that the edges on my pieces are truly square and sraight. That way, when I make glue-ups, they don't have "voids" in them that result in disasters like this one I blogged about last year ( Read more... )

I've been having trouble with my Jet mini-Lathe lately that needs some warranty repair... but I didn't want to be without my lathe while waiting for the replacement parts to come back.
