So, I stopped by Rockler last night on my way home from work to get a closer look at the Jointer that was going on sale Saturday morning at 7am... I wanted to make sure the box would fit in my Jeep

I always love hearing about people getting really good bargains like this.

And the post-it note idea was awesome. Man, I can't imagine people being that orderly for say, gaming systems on sale on Black Friday at Walmart or Best Buy. People get trampled to death for that stuff. 0_o

Apparently most of the people in line this morning were members of the local woodworker's club that meets pretty regularly, so a lot of them knew eachother already... hence the organization involved in waiting in line.

Yeah, that happened around the same time the Walmart employee was trampled...TO DEATH, which is the event I had in my mind when I wrote the comment.

But the shooting wasn't directly related to the sales (and more to just gang violence and stupidity) while the trampling death was a direct result of people wanting their bargains. And the people wouldn't even GTFO of the store while the police were trying to investigate...they were WHINING about how they had "Stood in line for hours" and just continued to shop as if nothing happened. Ugh. :/
