What a good, busy day. My most important task today was to get a new version of my monologues recorded, and I'm really, really happy with waht I ended up getting on film. 1. Seeing Alice in Wonderland at Chicago Playworks (the children's theatre branch of production at DePaul) and realizing that I could have played Alice. Suddenlly DePaul seems much more attainable. I like that a lot.

2. A really nice weekend with my little cousin Hannah, and going to see Alex this afternoon. That kid rocks hardcore.

It's everything I've been craving in a gay rights movement: sincere, informed, and well-organized grassroots actions that happen consistently in solid numbers. I filed for unemployment today, as I have been pounding the good earth trying to find a job and been entirely unsuccessful. Life without a source of income is weird. I don't like it. Something must be done, and until that something is me getting a bloody job, unemployment benefits don't sound too bad to me.

I spent my first day out of the watchful family eye today. Jamie and I had our anticipated Chicago/Phoebe Day, which went wonderfully.
