1. Inauguration Day. President Obama's speech was pitch perfect. At first, I missed the "Yes We Can" that I'm so used to in his speeches. But then I realized that we are past "Yes We Can." I filed for unemployment today, as I have been pounding the good earth trying to find a job and been entirely unsuccessful. Life without a source of income is weird. I don't like it. Something must be done, and until that something is me getting a bloody job, unemployment benefits don't sound too bad to me.

What a crazy, up-and-down, wild week this has been, here and everywhere in the country. I am still reeling (in a fantastically good way) from Obama’s election.
