Today Dad and I made the drive out to my Aunt Bobbi and Uncle Frank's lake house in South Bend. I didn't realize how much I needed to just relax til we went out for a half hour on their pontoon. I just closed my eyes, soaked up some sun, and I could feel so much physical tension melt right out of muscles. It was glorious.

I'm on another Wilco kick. I've realized that I like them so much because they are the only band I've ever heard that actually reminds me of the Beatles. Some of their guitar hooks in particular sound like they could be from The White Album reject tracks. My current guilty pleasure is Adam Lambert of American Idol. I haven't watched this show in years, not since the second season, but this guy is ridiculous. I've never seen anything quite like him, especially not on AI, which is so much about creating a Top 40 artist. There is nothing Top 40 about Adam. What a good, busy day. My most important task today was to get a new version of my monologues recorded, and I'm really, really happy with waht I ended up getting on film. 1. Seeing Alice in Wonderland at Chicago Playworks (the children's theatre branch of production at DePaul) and realizing that I could have played Alice. Suddenlly DePaul seems much more attainable. I like that a lot.

2. A really nice weekend with my little cousin Hannah, and going to see Alex this afternoon. That kid rocks hardcore.
