The two of them usually emerged together after Marcus. He didn't want to jump to conclusions, but there weren't be that many reasons Parker would be out here waiting alone for him, and most of them were in varying degrees of bad.
"Where's Logan?" Marcus asked, not looking forward to the answer.

"He got taken," he said. "Special counseling. I don't know where he'll be, but..." This was the point he had been arguing with himself over for the past half hour or so. "It might be best if we don't go looking for him. He's going to try and attack us, and I know he won't want to face that in the morning."
Not that attacking other patients who he didn't know was going to be any better, but Peter figured that injuring his friends might do more damage in the end. He really hoped Logan could handle it, but he had been through this sort of thing before. Though Peter doubted that made it any easier even if he was "used" to it.
He hoped Harry got here soon. They needed to figure out what they were doing, considering this new development.

As soon as the Head Doctor began his usual introduction to the night, Ken took to preparations, tucking the possibility of going outside in the back of his mind. As tempting as it was to grab everything (and the appropriate people) for an escape, he knew the chances for success were slim. Better to take care of their present issues before running.
Overcoat worn and weapon in hand, he crammed miscellaneous items into his pockets before making his way out of room and down the hallway. If everything went accordingly, Ken would reach the second floor kitchen in a matter of minutes.

On the plus side, he had a weapon, and something that could put a dent in Zelgadis's current form--just as a sample idea of possible applications for it. If Lord Hellmaster didn't meet with him, he could head outside and let nature light the way. His roommate hadn't been very helpful with information concerning the outdoors, and Xelloss wasn't under any impression that jumping over a fence would get him closer to his true home, but he was honestly a little curious ( ... )

The precise connection between these two events, or the sequence that had led from one to the other, was left out. After all, Hellmaster was being brief tonight, so perhaps he was in a hurry.
