The moment the doors unlocked, Peter was rushing out of his, suited up and flashlight in hand. He knew that it would do no good to panic, but he couldn't help it. The longer he had been forced to wait in that room on his own, the more he had thought about what they might be doing to Logan.

On the plus side, he had a weapon, and something that could put a dent in Zelgadis's current form--just as a sample idea of possible applications for it. If Lord Hellmaster didn't meet with him, he could head outside and let nature light the way. His roommate hadn't been very helpful with information concerning the outdoors, and Xelloss wasn't under any impression that jumping over a fence would get him closer to his true home, but he was honestly a little curious.
A single individual traveling would be at a disadvantage in a pinch, but others would likely be tramping around outside and they might attract more hostile attention, particularly if he were quiet. I didn't intend to go too far, however, since I wanted to travel alone in the hopes that the patients in larger, louder groups would attract more monsters."

Not that Xelloss could refuse, though it didn't mean he wouldn't choose omit details that would benefit him. Phibrizzo 'hmm'-ed a moment before making a petty request (though given his childish appearance, what else could be expected?): "Bring me a present from outside the wall."
That would ensure the Priest came up with something report the next night, at least.

Ideally, he'd find something of interest, but he hadn't expected much more than a survey of the area. He wasn't going to go out of his way or risk himself seeking souvenirs, even if the doctor's comments had suggested there might be something out there other than woods and, eventually, Doyleton.

He'd let the priest leave first. He didn't necessarily need Xelloss to know his plans.
