My doctor's quest to find some other reason than ME for my ongoing fatigue problems took him down the Thyroxin route. My blood tests showed a consistently lowish thyroxine level so he prescribed me low dose levothyroxine - made a certain amount of sense, low thyroid function would explain some of the symptoms. Yesterday wasn't one of my good days. Unfortunately it was also my signing on day which means a walk into town and back. Usually takes about 20 mins each way so isn't that far but does involve a nasty amount of hill. On a good day I usually get home knackered but without too much in the way of consequences. So, this session was to "improve" my CV. Oh My Gods! My advisor is a nice enough woman, but is grammatically illiterate, can't type, can't spell, and has NO idea of how to do a CV that isn't contained within her handbook. My doctor really doesn't like ME as a diagnosis, so he's chasing down any and every other possibility. Based on the latest blood tests I am now on more Vit D and folic acid, and low dose thyroxine tablets to see if any of those are responsible.
