General Contentment
This spring has been a content one for me, for some reason. In spite of the earthquake over here, I have had days when I smiled and actually felt happy instead of just the usual bleah-ness of life, then any other time I can remember. 18th century costume
Tried the Simplicity pattern for 18th century men's kit - not bad! Except all pockets are flaps only, the armscythe was Way small for the sleeve, and the back seams need to be more...in. And the breeches... Elastic in the back waist? Really??
But the use of fab fabric trumps all! Whoever buys it will look like Jared from Labrynth. Whoohoo!

Nothing going on
Slightly bored at school in free time, started doing the costumes for the school play, "Hairspray". The kids do a condensed version, but they do it all in English...which is where I come in for the club. They didn't expect me to hijack the costumes/ set work. Trying to teach them proper theatre procedure - sketches, books for production, etc. FUN!

What a day. Good 6.3 quake last night in the evening, and three more big tremors today, two of them rather closer to Tokyo, being off Chiba. The Shinkansen was stopped yesterday, it's been stopped today three times...Our school had a little review for teachers this morning, providentially, with earthquake procedure. Girl Genius Strikes Again
Yeah, so I download movies all the time. I have accumulated a large mass of computer files of movies or TV shows that are a bit hard to find, even on DVD. I am a crook and thief. My collection may be worth thousands, had I bought them legit. And there's the odd ones...
