07 The sun was shining and the sky was devoid of clouds, just as Junsu had hoped, perfect for their planned amusement park date.
Junsu didn’t prepare food. What they ate might end up decorating someone’s face while they’re upside down in a ride, and that wasn’t exactly his idea of a good date, so he instructed Yoochun to eat something light and then go to his apartment.
Junsu was picking what shoes to wear when Yoochun arrived. The usual peck-gone-longer-than-what-a-peck-should-be ensued.
“Chunnie… we’re supposed to go out.” He said in between kisses.
“But don’t you enjoy just being kissed breathless by me?” Yoochun smirked then leaned in for another kiss.
Indeed, Junsu was enjoying the kiss so much (when does he not?) that he actually considered just staying home and just have an incredibly long make-out session. Who could blame him? The way his boyfriend’s tongue was massaging his was making his toes curl in delight.
A gasp disrupted their lip-lock and Junsu turned to see Jaejoong by his room’s door gaping at them and looking at him up and down. Junsu blushed and looked down, thinking that Jae wasn’t comfortable seeing him being with Yoochun like this. He was about to apologize when Jae went over and grabbed his wrist and pulled him to his room.
“You are NOT wearing something like that as long as I’m your best friend!” He pushed Junsu inside the room and peeked his head out of the door and said to Yoochun with a smile. “I’ll borrow your boyfriend for around 15 minutes. Go nibble on something from the kitchen while I fix your beloved okay?” With that, he shut the door and Yoochun chuckled at Jae’s voice saying something like ‘What the hell were you thinking wearing a yellow shirt? It’s already sunny! You’ll be blinding the people around you because of the yellowness!!’ and some strangled cry he’s guessing came from his boyfriend.
Yoochun just shook his head and followed Jae’s advice. If there was one thing that he and his brother would share, it’s their adoration of the man’s cooking. Although, Changmin might be taking the ‘adoration’ to a higher level.
The 15 minutes turned to 20 then reached 30 before the door opened to reveal a newly dressed Junsu and a satisfied looking Jaejoong trailing behind him.
“There! Here yah go Chun!”
At least something came out of those 30 minutes. Junsu was made to wear casual jeans partnered with a dark blue blazer. Its sleeves crunched up to his elbows and buttons undone, revealing a plain white tank top underneath.
“Do… do I look okay?” he fidgeted. Yoochun just smiled again and walked to him.
“Babe, I love you no matter what you wear.” Junsu just blushed and mumbled a ‘thanks’.
“Okay!” Jae suddenly chirped. “The amusement park is waiting! The sun won’t wait for you, you know! Go! Go! Go!” He literally pushed them out the door and to the stairs, then was waving goodbye like a mom sending her kids off to school.
“Have fun you two! And Su! Tell me all about what happens in the Fer-“ he abruptly stopped when Junsu sent him a slightly murderous look. “Err…. I mean the Furry merry-go-round!” With that, he trotted to their room and closed the door.
Yoochun raised an eyebrow. “Furry Merry-go-round?”
Junsu just chuckled nervously. “Uhm.. yeah… You know how Jae is. His brain has a world of its own.”
“Uhuuuh…” Yoochun stated suspiciously but let it slide.

It was weekday so the amusement park wasn’t packed, much to the couple’s enjoyment. They went through every booth and every ride available throughout the afternoon. When the sky was starting to change from blue to violet, both of them were holding a variety of toys and little prizes. They left them in the baggage counter located by the entrance of the park and went back inside to grab a bite to eat. They settled for a hotdog each and a big fruit soda that they were going to share.
“There’s one last ride I want to go to before we head home.” Junsu declared.
“Hmm? But we rode everything already.” Well not everything, Yoochun added as an afterthought. There was the cursed of a Ferris Wheel but it was closed when they passed it earlier.
“Not everything.” Su smiled and threw a wrapper in the trash bin. He held out and Chunnie took it, his suspicion from earlier back to nag at him.
Junsu lead them to the inner part of the amusement park where the bigger rides were. There was the Roller Coaster, The Flying Carpet, The Dizzy Cup (he almost puked when they rode that) and some others. They kept on walking and Yoochun’s dread was rapidly increasing. They were going to the part where he saw the Ferris Wheel. The worst part is, he could see lights coming from it. When they reached it, Yoochun felt rooted on his spot. The Ferris Wheel was open and was just waiting for people to fill it up. His dread increased all the more when Junsu followed the line leading to the said ride.
Junsu felt Yoochun’s hand become cold and clammy and he looked back to his scared lover. He almost laughed at the suppressed terror etched on his face.
“D- don’t tell me were going to ride that?”
“Yup!” Junsu said with all cheerfulness that Yoochun had to restrain himself from strangling the life out of his lover and screaming his lungs out on what could happen if they do. Like the Ferris Wheel would really become a wheel and they’ll reach somewhere far away from Seoul if it breaks, or they can get stuck up there and the rescue squad would take hours and hours and they would die from starvation or the lightning would strike out of nowhere and kill them all!
“Chunnie?” Junsu waved his hands in front of the taller man’s face to jerk him off his trance.
“Do… do we really have to Su-ah?” His face was practically begging. “We can ride everything else again if you want!” He was phailing enormously in trying to sound excited at the prospect of going to all the rides again.
“But I want to ride this one.” Junsu did a full-blown pout that he knew would bring Yoochun to his mercy. He grinned in triumph in his head when Yoochun slumped forward and heaved a sigh.
“Fine… But let me call Jaejoong first.” He took out his phone and was scrolling through his contacts.
“Jaejoong? Why?”
“I’m going to ask him to take care of Changmin if I’m gone by the end of the day because our parents would revive me then kill me again if someone doesn’t feed my dongsaeng.”
Junsu laughed at the silliness of it and grabbed his boyfriend’s phone, closed it then grasped his hands, pulling him forward since the line was moving.
“You are not going to die any time soon. I won’t allow you to leave me. And I’m riding with you. Things will be fine.” He can still sense him faltering in his step but at least he wasn’t protesting any more.
When they were in the ride already, waiting for it to start, Yoochun was slightly shaking. But he still can hold a conversation. When the ride shook and started moving, Yoochun either wanted to jump out of the window or not breathe at all. Junsu leaned in close and said:
“I’m here. Don’t worry. I won’t leave you. Not ever. You helped me through my fear. I want to help you through yours too.”
Junsu tightened his hold on the other’s hand and leaned his head to his shoulder to let him know he was still there. Yoochun started to slow his breathing but he was still slightly shaking. Junsu started placing butterfly kisses on the other’s neck until he reached his jaw. Yoochun shivered but now it was because of the other’s ministrations, not the fear.
He felt fingers on his cheek and his head being turned to Junsu’s way. Junsu smiled at him, all loving and supportive. Yoochun couldn’t’ help but smile back.
Junsu leaned in for a kiss, which Yoochun gladly accepted. It started out slow, just a merging of lips into a perfect fit. But when Yoochun couldn’t breathe anymore but Su didn’t want to let go, he didn’t have a choice but to open his mouth. He managed to sneak in a bit of air before Junsu plunged in his tongue to his mouth, making him moan. They’ve kissed like this before, but they still can’t get enough of each other’s taste.
Junsu’s fingers tangled themselves to Yoochun’s hair, getting the familiar feel of its soft strands. The kiss deepened and where they were didn’t matter to Yoochun anymore. Lightning could strike now and he still wouldn’t care. All he was feeling with Junsu kissing him was important, nothing more.
Their kiss broke when they sensed the ride stop, signaling that the passengers are getting off cart by cart. They fixed each other’s hair, kissed one more time before getting off when it was their turn.
“So…” Junsu started while they were walking hand in hand. “you feel you can ride the Ferris Wheel again now?”
Yoochun smiled and squeezed his lover’s hand. “As long as you’re with me.”
Junsu grinned and pat himself on the back for being successful.

Jaejoong filled the room with squeals that night when Junsu told him what happened in the Ferris Wheel.
