The end of the story is... I am staying in my son's home for two nights a week.  The landlord said it is better than leaving it empty than whole time the kids will be away.  We talk to them more there than we did when they were here.  I guess they are a little homesick to start off.  They will adjust. 

The kids left today for Israel.  For 10 months,  Or so they say.  I say it is an exploritory year.  I say yeah sure.  But they are adults and are doing what they feel is best for them.  It was very hard to be there and the tears ran down all our faces, i think mine more than anyone else.  But we live in the 21 century, so there is skype and ( Read more... )

Took the oldest 4 boys to the Lion King today.  An adventure.  ages 11,10,8,and 7.  For the younger, their first Broadway show.  For the older, not, but excited anyway.  We had orchestra aisle seats.  Good grand parents, i guess.  When the 'animals' entered thru the orchestra, the kids were mesmerized. We went on a short vacation to Newport RI.  I had said I wanted to go to the beach for two days and before I knew it, she hears taking off two days, time to go away.  So I went.  Well i drove.  For 5 hours.  Something I love to do.  LOL..  We had a nice time seeing the mansions, taking a boat ride, and jusr hiking and walking around.  Both on ( Read more... )

The company I work for had offices in two different spaces in the building.  So when the offices next door went vacant, the company rented them and abandoned the old space.  3 months and oodles of money later they moved in.  They wanted it to look like the other offices, so one would not know these were new.  the old offices had a wall of private ( Read more... )

It was decided that we give our kids a break and take the grand kids for a few days.  After all my wife is retired one week, and must be bored.  We did not decided.  it was decided for us.  Well they brought the kids in the evening. time for showers and pjs before TV and off to bed.  They were not there more than 20 minutes when we had a stuffed ( Read more... )

Very mixed up emotional time for me.  My wife retired from her job.  There goes dinner conversation since that was what we spoke or rather she spoke about.   My kids are moving to Israel in August.  So no more nights at their home anymore.  No more chat rooms for me.  I am very sad ( Read more... )

BBBBOOOOORRRRREEEEED. At work that is. I have everything down so pat that I am Bored. Nothing to do. I sit all day BORED.

But at least I have a job.

I think it is time to start looking for a new one. Maybe a little closer to home. Or Further.

We have a new grandson. Born yesterday. Our 8th grandchild. So many for such a young age. LOL. Mother and baby are doing well.
