Does anyone read LiveJournal anymore? I just ran through my entire history and relived a bunch of old things, good and bad, from the past.

So it's been nearly three years since I last posted here. In three months, Ena will be four years old, and Alan, her brother, will be one year old next month.

It's been a whole year since I've posted anything here. Ena turned one year old today. It's hard to believe that a year has passed already. I remember all the events that happened a year ago. Time flies!

My daughter Ena was born two days ago on Saturday, September 11th, 2010. Everyone is doing fine and we are happy. Unfortunately I had to return to Tokyo Sunday night because of work, but I'll be back there in a week, and in a month they'll be back here.

I was looking at the various Time Magazine lists of the top 100 most influential people in the world. I've never bothered to look at this thing before, but I can see now that I was better off not looking. The list would be better named "100 Most Influential People in American Media". I wanted to order a pizza, so I call up Pizza-La and order a pepperoni and bacon pizza off a copy of their menu that I have, and they tell me they are out of that kind. We're growing some basil outside. It smells like basil. We're pretty excited about that.

The baby is moving around a lot. I can feel her hands punching and moving around, and can even see them. It seems like my worries about being able raising a child properly are being supplanted by the excitement of having a daughter ( Read more... )

For anyone who doesn't know, my wife is pregnant. We are expecting an early September birth. We haven't found out if it's a boy or a girl yet.

They finally finished processing my visa, so I went yesterday to get it done. I'm set now for three more years.

It's been two weeks and still no notice from the immigration office. Maybe because I got married between this and my last visa extension, so the altered information on my application is taking longer for them to figure out or something. Who knows.
