Yesterday I was having a good day.  Work went as normal.  I got home on time, made dinner and ate with Dan and Bode.  We played a little together and I organized some books in Bode's room.  Dan put up new book shelves in his room.  Then Dan went out to play poker.

For New Year's Eve, we went to a friend's house and tried to put a tired (although still in a great mood) Bode down in his pack n play.  I kept the same bedtime routine as from home just moved it into their house in a little quiet bedroom.  I had music, a little night light, we did a little massaging, pjs, read stories, and nursed while rocking ( ( Read more... )

So we've been trying to get all Christmas ready around our house.  We got our tree last Monday and by Sunday we had finally managed to get it completely decorated.  It was a very slow process.  I really like the tree.  We were hoping to cut down a tree this year and were planning a trip to our friend's family tree farm with a group of people.   ( Read more... )

Well, last week I finally finished a soaker for Bode!  I actually knitted the entire thing and it semi fits him too!  I'm so excited.  It looks really cute and I'll probably only be using it for nighttime and maybe next summer if he's still in diapers (who am I kidding -of course he'll be) he might fit in it better to wear like shorties.  I washed ( Read more... )

Well that last post I did reminded me how well Bode has been sleeping. I'm sure that as new things arise this could change but he's slept all the way through the night (the WHOLE night - meaning 9pm-at least 7am or later) the last 7 out of 8 nights.  And the 1 that he missed he was only up for 5 minutes at 11pm.  Not bad, huh?  It's amazing.  But ( Read more... )

Last night Dan had to work:(, so when I got home from work... I said goodbye to Sally (my sister) and started making some dinner for me and Bode.  We had some butternut squash leftovers...with cinnamon & nutmeg.
