Well, Dad and family are safe in SA, only took them 28 hours to get there... Heh, I left my old job and they gave it to Proz, he really seems to be enjoying it. He was more than qualified and more than ready to assume my position. Made it easy for me to accept the offer I got and to leave AP. I think it worked out quite well he needed more of a challenge and I suppose I did too.

Well the nasty old hurricane in the gulf completely wrecked my vacation plans and has caused a lot of uproar in my family, my father, stepmother, three of my sisters and two brother in laws were all ordered to evacuate Wed. Well, went to see John play at the Iron Cactus tonight, once I got there, I decided not to play after all, was expecting a smaller crowd, more people there than I had expected. Well, took my big male kitty, Taz to the wellness center today, he has been indoor kitty for 2 months because his shots were overdue, and he has been unhappy, so I took him to get his shots today so I can let him out; he has frankly been pesky and has been driving me and my other cat nuts, so it is time for him to go out. Today was a good day; i managed to get as much as possible done while doing virtually nothing. This was a very good weekend all in all, very relaxing after an incredibly busy work week; ate many delicious beef fajita tacos from the taco truck that parks in the neighborhood on friday and saturday nights.
