A very good week indeed.

Had a very good week indeed, job is going extremely well, business is relatively good right now and the owners hired two additional people to help run things in the office and we have the prospect of a third employee being added in short order primarily to manage traffic and workflow in the warehouse. Unlike many of my friends and family, I actually happen to enjoy my job considerably and look forward to going to work every day.
Also had a good week outside of work, won several decent auctions on eBay (insane, I know, eBay at work all day and then go home and do MORE eBay evenings and weekends)lots of holes in the collection filled, lots of oversized comics from the 70's a very happy thing indeed! and also managed to get 31 auctions up and running to try to help cover the money spent paying for the auctions won. Auctions I posted are slowly getting bids and watchers, so far the Teen Titans Go! set I posted seems to be getting the most attention, although I did sell a set of New X-Men and a couple of Superman/Batmans' that were probably priced too low. Next weeks auctions will be the real deal; first series X-Men from the late 60's. Those will get plenty of attention quick when I post them.
Tommorrow is my break from eBay and my normal reality in general; drive to Sunken Gardens in San Antonio to see Uli Jon Roth, Starz, Montrose, Michael Schenker and Legs Diamond. For years I have had a list of guitarists I wanted to see live, and thanks to much good fortune have been able to cross Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, and Tom Scholz off of the list since I moved back to Austin, tommorrow, I get to cross Ronnie Montrose, Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth off of the list plus for an added treat i'll also get to see Richie Ranno and Brendan Harkin play, something i never thought i'd see in my lifetime. My primary motivation for going is of course Uli Jon Roth, i'm not 100% sure, but I believe this may be the first time he has toured the US in 20 years, he is unique and in a class by himself. Getting to see UJR pal live is also something i never thought i'd see in my lifetime. I think the only guy living that can maybe touch his chops is Brian May, who is also unique and in a class by himself. This may possibly be one of the best shows I will ever get to see, at least guitar-wise, just widh it was in Austin.
