So, I finally got to watch 30 days of Night. And what did I think about it?

I liked it. Not as much as I thought I was going to (having read the graphic novel and plus the director did one of my favorite movies of the last few years). I'd watch it again, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to own it.

I've been seeing a lot of commercials lately for the upcoming movie Shutter, and I'm left feeling more disgusted than ever with the state of American horror.

This is now the third Asian horror hatchet job to come out of Hollywood in as many months.

They are now in the process of filming yet another one of Clive Barker's short stories (this in addition to Midnight Meat Train which I'll get to see in May :-)).

From what I'm reading, it sounds like they're planning this to be a series of film versions of the short stories from his Books of Blood beginning with the first story from the first book ( Read more... )

So I was just watching some goofy zombie gore comedy on Sci-Fi. Its so funny sometimes to see the way that television will edit the movies that they air, particularly when you're watching things late at night when some standards become more relaxed.

* The Skeleton Key - Lame. I knew it would be lame (PG-13 horror is rarely ever good) but I remember hearing about some alleged twist ending and that will usually make me want to watch something.
