Today I learned first-hand that Route 9 is the most dangerous road in Vermont (and quite possibly the most dangerous road in New England). Trying (stupidly) to pass a truck, I slid on some black ice, spun around, and crashed (backwards) into the guardrail. Today it is lovely out and I am so happy. I'm still missing Silver like crazy, but now I have the pressure of school DONE WITH (for three months) and now I can knit and sew and read for fun (read: stuff for plan that isn't immediately necessary).

And I finally have time to go to town.

Today I saw what was either a female turkey or a female peacock in the backyard. I looked up a picture of each, and neither looks quite like what I saw, but it was probably a turkey since I don't think there are any more peacocks still living around here ( Read more... )
