Harry and the Potters' annual Yule Ball on December 9 at the Middle East starting at 5!
I can't wait - I had a fantastic nerdy time last year. Loads of kids showed up dressed up like it was Wizard Prom. Yay! -

Crafty question: Grommet pliers?
Question for all the crafters reading this:
A pal of mine wants to buy a pair of grommet pliers, and the only craft-use pair she's found are made by Dritz.
Does anyone know if this pair is any good or if there is another (maybe better) brand that she hasn't found?

Political: Help stop the gay marriage amendment
The Massachusetts legislature is scheduled to vote next Thursday, June 14, on the gay marriage amendment. If it passes, the issue of whether or not it should be legal will go to the public vote, which could result in same-sex marriage being banned in Massachusetts (not to mention a nasty political campaign leading up to that ballot).
