I'm on call, so I was stuck at home on New Year's Eve/Day. I've done some reading & knitting & way too much TV watching to pass the time. There's this magazine/flyer that comes out four times a year from Huntington Beach called "The Sands" which lists all the community sponsored activities - I take my yoga classes through it, but there's lots of other activities as well. I took my car in for an oil change today, and I was told it would take a couple of hours. I decided to wander down to the nearest grocery store to pick up a book to read as I ate lunch at the nearest fast food joint. I'm going to go to bed now. As of three hours ago, we finished the 48 hour customer test. I worked about 40 of those 48 hours. Mom called last night to coordinate grocery shopping excursions. Originally we'd planned on having Thanksgiving down at Gil & Mike's house. But with Dad still feeling very weak, Mom didn't think he'd be up for the 70 mile drive. So we're having it at my place as a compromise.
