[Joint post] A long time coming

Feb 18, 2011 00:22

It's taken them a bit to come out with the news - it's made them both exceedingly happy, but it was no secret to anyone that not everyone concerned would be pleased for them.

Nonetheless, no-one is family-oriented like a Feanorian, and Pandora herself could not keep it to herself any longer. This, in her case, was made more raw by the fact that the ( Read more... )

It's later in the evening, but Tsuzuki is still up and about, likely looking for something to read before he goes to bed, or looking for Robin, whichever comes first. But spotting Pandora and her beloved, he grins, delighted. "Hey there, Pandora! how's it going? It's been a while, hasn't it?"

Cele's been blindingly happy over their little bit of news, so he grins at Tsuzuki when he greets Pandora, holding tight to her hand.

"Tsuzuki!" Pandora tugs Celebrimbor along, to meet her friend. "Have you met my beloved? Carus, this is Tsuzuki - he is a dear friend. Asato Tsuzuki, please meet Celebrimbor Curufinwion... my fiancee."

She looks... absolutely ecstatic.

Heee! Fiancee.

"I haven't had the pleasure, till now," he says, chuckling and bowing to Celebrimbor. "It's great to meet you, sir, and I guess congratulations are in order: did you two just get engaged?"

Pandora is like a big sister or an aunt to Riku, and it's been a while since he's seen her. Thus when he spots her, he approaches, smiling, happy to see her and to see her happy. "Hi there, Pandora!" he says. "Is this man your boyfriend?"

"I am." Usually he wouldn't answer for her, but he's just so happy about it right now. "I am Celebrimbor."

"Yes, yes he is." Pandora grins wide, not bothering to hide the fangs in Riku's presence. "Love, this is Riku." She pauses, then adds, "He is of my kind, after a fashion."

And possibly the closest to a child she could ever have - but she doesn't say that, not yet, though...

But that would be up to her beloved.

"Cool! It's nice to meet you, sir," he says, beaming. "Pandora was one of the first people that I met when I got here, so she's almost like a big sister or an aunt or even a mom."

Then he adds, "But don't worry: I don't bite people to get the blood I need, not unless there's nothing else and someone offers it to me. I really don't like doing it that way, but I've got a nurse who gives me blood intravenously every day."

It wouldn't be right to do this without the grandmother. And she is awake tonight, and downstairs, making herself and most likely her husband some tea. She will be...delighted.

Oh yes, and she will be planning the wedding. Just so you know.

And when Cele spots her he is very happy to see her. "Grandmother!" He tugs Lydia's hand toward her, grinning broadly. "We have news."

Lydia follows, smiling, though of course she's a touch apprehensive: things haven't always been sunshine and roses with Nerdanel, and she knows she will need to have her betrothed's grandmother's approval, if all is to go well.

"My lady," she ventures, very politely.

Nerdanel glances at Pandora, and for a moment her gaze is still, and considering. But then it softens, a touch, and she inclines her head. Gracefully. "Lydia," she says, kindly enough, and then turns to Tyelpe and a true smile emerges. "News? Tell me, nephew."

Oh, she has a guess. Really does.

You didn't really think that you could get away without speaking to this one, did you? And Curufin is not going to be happy. Which is...to say the least. No matter how much he has been trying lately, and wants to make amends with his son...

He does not like Pandora. For making him... say things, if nothing else. (Also, Daddy doesn't like her. That's reason enough.)

He comes downstairs and stops on the bottom step, all expression draining from his face except for the 'dangerous' one. And staring at his son and the vampire, standing in a manner that it would be difficult to mistake.

He waits. Explanation, please?

For a moment, Celebrimbor's expression can be summed up as, "...Oh crap." Then he takes a deep breath and gets it under control. "....Father."

Pandora's face falls to a carefully neutral expression. She doesn't like this either - and is inclined to keep things polite.

And she inclines her head in greeting, though she'll let Celebrimbor do the talking.

She won't let Curufin do any hitting, though. Over her (very literally) dead body, she says.

Curufin doesn't even look at Pandora. Just at his son, and his eyebrows lift, faintly. "Were you planning to tell me?" he says, voice deadly quiet, and soft. "Or did you think that you could merely do whatever you like, without so much as a word to your father?"

Cele probably recognizes that voice, and it's quite a bit worse than the yelling one.

Aredhel can be found in the kitchen. She's making jam for the family, in fact, and she will have a pot of cherry preserve for Celebrimbor to take away.

The room smells of sweets, a little bit too much, perhaps, and she is humming to herself.

The little girls are on the floor, playing with dolls and being very, very good. They're an independent set, these two.

Typist is amused that she picked something red for him. Cele stoops to greet the little girls, giving them each a light kiss on the cheek or their hair before going to greet his aunt-cousin with a hug. She can undoubtedly see the good mood he's in. "Hello! It smells wonderful in here."

"Tyelpe!" she replies, grinning, happy to see how well the little girls accepted their cousin's kisses. "I was just wondering how I might get this to the forge," Aredhel informs him. "It's lucky that you're here."

"You needn't bring anything to the forge if you don't wish to, I am often here as well, you know. I don't actually live, there," he teases. "And thank you, very much."
