[Joint post] A long time coming

Feb 18, 2011 00:22

It's taken them a bit to come out with the news - it's made them both exceedingly happy, but it was no secret to anyone that not everyone concerned would be pleased for them.

Nonetheless, no-one is family-oriented like a Feanorian, and Pandora herself could not keep it to herself any longer. This, in her case, was made more raw by the fact that the ( Read more... )

Despite the cold, Caranthir can be found outside, sharpening his sword, predictably.

He's calm, focused, making quiet sounds to himself as he does this simple but soothing work.

Very predictably, and that may be how Cele finds him. He raises a hand in greeting as he approaches, smiling a little. "Hello, Uncle."

Caranthir looks up, finds a smile for his nephew. "Tyelpe," he says, and stands, puts the sword away, offers an arm clasp.

"It's good to see you, Nephew."

And egad, but he looks well. It's a sight for sore eyes.

Cele grips his arm in return, nearly grinning. "It is good to see you as well, Uncle. I have news." Good news, from the way his grin widens.

Hisoka is standing on the frozen steps of the porch, gazing up at the stars. They blaze so brightly, and he is reminded of two ancient tales, one from Japan and one from Vohemar. They both involve true lovers and the stars that represent them.

Cele hasn't met Hisoka, but he gives him a friendly if slightly distracted nod when he sees him, perhaps as he and Lydia are entering or leaving the house.

Pandora will spot Hisoka, though - the shinigami who is friends with Tsuzuki. She remembers him fondly.

"Oh, hello Hisoka," she says, stopping in her tracks and probably stalling her betrothed in the process.

"Lady Pandora!" he greets her, turning. He nods very politely to Celebrimbor. "It's a beautiful night, isn't it?"

Here's one who used to be almost-friends with Pandora, but before they managed to properly bond, he disappeared. Adrian won't remember her and he has never met Celebrimbor, but he'll most definitely cross their path should they be walking out at twilight or even later.

He's still preoccupied with all the recent events and might not notice them at first.

Cele gives him a polite nod and murmurs "hello" as they pass near, unaware for the moment that this is someone that Lydia had known.

Pandora can tell, however, that Adrian doesn't remember her. And she, on the other hand, remembers how poorly he accepted her the first time around. She'll look at him curiously, discreetly stalling Celebrimbor to give Adrian a chance to reply.

She's likely to let the two men talk, though.

"Hi." Hesitantly, way too simply to be his usual way of talking. This woman -- she's not human. She's somewhat like him, somewhat like the enemy, somewhere in between - and why on Earth does he get this scent of familiarity about her?!

"I don't think we've been introduced."

Cautiousness is his best way of acting, now.

Finrod has always been fond of walking in the evenings so that he can look at the stars, and perhaps on one of these evening strolls he crosses paths with Lydia. He'll be glad to see her.

And Pandora is always happy to see Finrod - and the way they are meeting is certainly reminiscent of their first encounter, which makes her smile a little more tenderly about her friendship with the revered elf.

"Finrod," she says, when she sees him. "I have longed to see you in some time."

"I apologize, then, for my elusiveness." He smiles and steps toward her, he's always glad to see her as well. "Good evening, Lydia."

The vampire glides towards her friend (her oldest friend, let's not forget), and smiles, but doesn't offer bodily contact.

"It's so good to see you again," Lydia says, happily but quietly. "And I have news - though I wonder if Celebrimbor has shared them with you already."

The twins will be easy to find, rowdy and laughing after just having returned from a ride. They'll try to settle when they see their nephew's girlfriend, though.

Pandora grins wide, with a closed mouth, though, because she still expects the fangs to unsettle the twins.

"Ambarussa!" She says, joyfully. "Why calm your joy on my account?"

The twins are hard to unsettle. Their nephew loves her, that's enough for them. And that one unfortunate incident was a loooong time ago and before they'd actually met her properly. They glance at each other and shrug. "Well, people seem to have this strange idea that we should behave in public."

"What a silly notion," Pandora observes lightly. "And sillier, that I have great news to share." She pauses eyes them with a teasingly critical eye. "Or have you already been told?"
