I've seen Burton's new Alice In Wonderland and am confused. I'm certain there doesn't seem to be any plot evidence, but her last name is not the same as it is in the books. Is anyone aware why? Are these just "creative liberties" on Burton's part, or are there actual canon details I have missed?

The book gives coordinates for where Prendick was lost and later picked up and at the end of the book, he says he was retrieved by a ship going between Apia and San Francisco. NCIS question about Trent Kort

Has it been explained why a CIA agent has a British accent? My guess is that while Kort "works" for the CIA, he may be more of an "Independent Contractor" than an actual agent. I mean, I know as much as making the target consume it in either food or drink, but I don't remember there's anything in the book about how to define which person the victim will fall in love with? Mo' World of Warcraft questions, but this one's a little simpler:

Is there a way for people to tell races apart besides just physical appearance/mannerisms/other normal ways? For instance, can an orc differentiate between a blood elf and a night elf simply by a smell undetectable to most others? That sort of thing.
