Watched the John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy yesterday with T, mainly because we both though Aaron Johnson was so very charming in Kick-Ass and then realized that he was playing John Lennon. So I managed to drag T with me to the special screening of Kick-Ass tonight, and oh my god yes what a movie! ( Obviously loads of spoilers... )

I knew the film was in the works, but apparently the world premiere is in Brussels on the 8th of April. I have no idea when it will be shown in Sweden, or even IF they will show it. I kind of doubt I'll ever get to update the LJ if I don't write something now. I'm on the train back to Gothenburg after 1½ day in Lund. Very very tired of travelling, but at least I got an extremely cheap ticket, only 4 SEK, which isn't even $1! Compare that to the ticket down, which was 277SEK..

Another great one has left us. Éric Rohmer died on the 11th of January. I've been reading a few of the obituaries, and rather like this article in the Guardian. It points out the greatness of his films, yet calls out the characters flaws and typical dialogue in a good way. Can't sleep. Got my period a few days early, always such fun. I blame the full moon. It's incredibly strong this month. My stomach hurts.

Made it up to Gothenburg yesterday morning after only having slept an hour. Oh joy. I'm not sure my mental state was quite ready for watching Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, but I did manage to stay awake for the film, even if it was a bit close to the end where I really had to pinch my self to keep from falling asleep. ( Spoilers for HP6 )

I've been kind of meh over Doris Day, but obviously I've watched the wrong films with her! Lover Come Back was hilarious in so many ways, and the Rock Hudson/Tony Randall combo utterly fantastic. My new favourite teacup just cracked from side to side. An omen? Almost lost all my ginger tea, too. Quickly poured the rest of it into a green mug instead and so it goes. I'm very sad. The cup was plain but large and purple, the exact same colour could be found on Twinings' Darjeeling teabags..
