I made it down here yesterday, just before the blizzard struck. Crazy winter weather, and this is the view from my balcony:
It's not really that bad, just annoying that the roads are bad, and especially the pavements.

Dad sleeps, for now, and I'm waiting for the first morning team to arrive and help dad change side in bed, and check the diapers etc. We never know exactly when they show up, entirely depends on who's working, and their other patients, but they are supposed to come some time between 5 and 6 in the morning. Crazy weather, snowing like mad and I came back from the shops just in time to watch the press-conference where Håkan Juholt, the now former leader of the major opposition party, the Social Democrats resigned after just 10 months. Haven't been able to update in ages Nothing serious, just the usual constant everyday problems. Dad still isn't eating as well as he should, but isn'tdoing too bad anyway. All this snow (which incidentally is still falling down like crazy) and the continued cold weather makes me crave a Russian style fur hat. And I know I really ought to go for the fake fur, but I've also kind of fallen in love with these. Now the question is should I go for a black, grey or brown? Or the burgundy , steel-grey, or black fake fur?

It's seriously snowy here again. Started snowing early this morning and didn't stop until maybe an hour ago. And there will be more snow tomorrow. I'd just gotten used to seeing the ground again after the thawing last weekend - even if it got colder again very quickly at least I could use my bike - but now we're back in winter wonderland. In Gothenburg for third day and running. I thought I was lucky when I came up here on Friday, just half an hour late with the train, and found the streets considerably less snowy than in Lund. It's snowing like mad, as it seems to do almost all over Europe. Cold and terrible as well, but some meterologists are talking about warmer weather heading our way next week. Please, please be true! I'm very worried about taking the train on Friday, and we'll see how it turns out.

I stayed in today, since it snowed like mad, was incredibly cold AND windy, even though the sun was up. Will try to head into town tomorrow to collect a parcel and do some shopping. This weather makes me hibernate even more than usual. But look at the view from my balcony, not that fun!

I made my now traditional Advent Saffron Cake  this evening. They were out of saffron at the store, apparently this year's Iranian crop was much better than last year so the price isn't as crazy high as it was last year, ergo more people buy the stuff.. .
