I'm back in Gothenburg since Thursday afternoon, and things are progressing as they pretty much were before I left for Lund. Dad is still sitting up in the wheel-chair at least once a day, and the physical therapist even got him to stand up (with a LOT of help of course) for a few moment!. Well, so much for the wonderful day yesterday. Dad was sleeping and all was ok this morning at 07:30 when mum called for her usual check-up on how the night has gone for him. I'm back in Gothenburg, and visited dad for a very short time this evening. He is doing much better than last week, but was quite tired and about to go to sleep when I arrived straight from the train, so mum and I left after just an hour. Back home at the parent's flat again, after yet another emotional roller-coaster day at the hospital. As I wrote on LJ earlier today, dad had a minor set-back this morning, with phlegm getting stuck in the tracheotomy thing and his heart rate diminishing drastically. Finally saw dad again today, and he was very tired but doing quite well. They made him try the speech thingy but he didn't really have the energy for it in the morning.
