I'm sure I'll have more happies later, like getting together with my family for Christmas Eve, etc. But since I might not have time to post later tonight, this shall be my happy for today:

Day 6: My boss just gave me a $20 gift card for Darden restaurants (Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc.) for Christmas. YUS.

Yesterday after work I stopped at Barnes and Noble and picked up a copy of Free Range Chickens. I had seen a blurb about it on Dooce, looked at the excerpt on Amazon and decided it was hilarious and that I must read it. Shortly after I got home from work last night, my mom came by and whisked Casey away to go get my Christmas gifts. She came home later and went up to my room to wrap them, but never actually got around to it. So it's been a good day off. I really just needed a little peace so I could think and get myself organized. All the dirty clothes have either been washed or are in process, I loaded and ran the dish washer, wrapped presents, made a list of the last few gifts I need to buy once I get paid again, balanced my checkbook, and then went to JC Penney.
