Wednesday I went to a free screening of Jane Eyre via the Universal Orlando Women's Network. It was preceded by a wine tasting, which was what I had been most interested in, but that turned out to be pretty lame. -Thursday we saw Wicked for the 2nd time. It was breath-taking. We were both in absolute heaven the whole time, with goosebumps from the incredible talent of the cast. We were supposed to see 3 plays this weekend (for the 2nd week of Artsfest, free art events all over town) but only ended up doing 1. Oh well, 1 free play is better than zero! Casey's enjoying high school so far. The only issue is that she's still trying to get into band. Her counselor is supposed to be re-arranging her schedule so she can take it, but it's taking her a while to get around to it. Thursday there was an employee screening of Charlie St. Cloud. I brought Casey to work with me so she could spend the day in the park and then I could meet her at the theater instead of having to go all the way home and get her and then come back. So, Casey has gone to the Boys and Girls Club camp at her former middle school exactly one day this week. Oh well, good that it's there for her to go when there's nothing better to do. Casey seems to be having a great time on her mission trip in Tennessee, based on her Facebook updates and a couple of texts she has sent me. They are fixing up a house for this lady who's kids are in foster care, and once the work is done, she and her kids can all live there together.
