Damn! Andrew is Johnny Long Torso in that second cover! His body proportions are really...off...

God, Watson is such an asshole. How can you become a stepfather and not help with the expenses of your stepchildren? Especially when you're a fucking MILLIONAIRE?! Can you imagine the RESENTMENT the Thomas kids would feel about this? Ann is basically saying that Watson doesn't see them as his real children. What a bitch.

Whenever I read about weddings, I always think, 'I want a wedding. It would be Rococo themed and have macarons and shit.' Then I remember I'm aro-ace and I'm like 'The fuck?! I NEVER want to get married! I just want a pretty dress!'

Here's my question: Did Watson have this attitude of "They're your kids and your responsibility to pay for their college funds?" I wonder how much of it is Elizabeth being nervous or even self conscious about being seen as a gold digger? I know the logic might seem wonky--it's not like she's going out shopping for jewelry and stuff like that.

I feel like its mainly Elizabeth feeling like they SHOULDN'T expect him to. While Watson isn't always a great father, he does treat the Thomas brood as well or better than his own two and he even gives Kristy a family heirloom in one of the LS books. I'm sure that he'd be willing to pay for their colleges or at least HELP with them.

Uughhhh. Don't mention that atrocity about the family heirloom. I can't afford an ER visit from running headfirst into the wall. But, really. You make a good point. I guess they were just trying to make it seem like Elizabeth wasn't marrying him for the money, but it comes off like they're separate parents with separate styles of living for their kids, rather than 'We're raising these kids together and sharing all finances'.

Eh...I went from offer to close in under a month. Depends on how motivated the seller is (in my case, they were divorcing and while there was some grumbling about time to pack the outbuildings separately they took the offer and were out when I wanted.) If it's a buyer's market, you can be faced with take the offer and move now, PITA or not, or be sitting on the house when the buyers walk and you don't have another offer waiting right there.

Caterer in two weeks? Only if they're a shitty caterer who never gets booked. You'd be hard pressed to come up with a restaurant booking in that amount of time. And I don't care it's a book written/set in the Eighties by someone whose mentality is stuck in the late Sixties, 200+ guests with a big chunk from 'out of town' aren't going to be able to revise their travel schedules and show up on two weeks' notice unless by "out of town" they mean Stamford and New York City.

I had no idea about the closing. Guess it could happen. Shitty caterer and resturant. That's what she would get in that amount of time. You have to book something like that in advance, like a couple of months. She should have just stuck with going to City Hall and doing a big thing later on. And you are not getting people to come to this wedding.

I totally read shitty caterer in the South Park voice. Remember those episodes?

I grew up within a ten block radius my whole life, so it was/is hard right now to live away from family. I can call, but visiting without a car is hard. I miss everyone, especially my nieces and nephews. My dad and mom, everyone. At least her ass sees everyone still.

Blending families is hard sometimes. Wheter it's bringing another person in that has kids already, or another is born into the family, there's a weird period for everyone.

Boo Boo is probably trying to plot his damn escape from that crazy nuthouse. Thank you for reading and enjoying!!! :)

I laughed several times reading this, but I think I may have laughed the hardest at and then K-Ron has to leave to mix the fucking Kool-Aid at the cult meeting. Looking forward to the next installment!

The new cover, just omg. Those dresses are hideous.
I too moved far from my family, 1800 miles, so I feel your pain and have zero pity for Kristy moving across town.
We actually got into our house in less than a month, but the people had already moved out of it and we paid cash in full. So, it's possible, but unlikely, especially with the family still living there.
I can't believe Elizabeth would give Patrick a cent from that house. He bailed, he deserves nothing.
I love your snarks and am so glad you're back :)

Wow, I wish it were that easy for us! But at least we're here now!

Yea, I don't see Elizabeth telling Patrick she even sold the house at all. She should send him a dollar like Elise did in First Wives Club!! LOL!

Thank you so much, I am so glad you enjoy them!!! Thanks for the welcome back!!!

Oh! I thought WATSON was getting some of the house!

Though it sucks, if Patrick's on the title, he's legally half owner.
