BSC #6: Kristy’s Big Day AKA: K-Ron’s Mom is Batshit Insane!!!!!
Hello Folks. After a brief hiatus, I’m backkkkk! By popular vote (and after a tie breaking choice by my rock star husband) this is the first part of K-RON’S MOM NEEDS HER DAMN MEDS!!!! (Kristy’s Big Day to the rest of you) Before we all dive headfirst into the batshit insanity, I

I really like the cover for the most part. Kristy and Karen both look pretty. I just can't shake the description I've read from other snarks about Andrew looking like a mini-Donald Trump. Glad to see Andrew got a bit of a makeover for the newer addition of the cover.
K-Ron bitches about having to move across town to Watson’s and how she’ll miss her friends and how hard it is, and fuck you cow, I just moved to another fucking state, coming from an area where my family and in-laws all lived a twenty minute cab ride.--Too true. I can understand being really upset and nervous if Kristy was moving to another town or another state. I'm honestly glad I grew up in the same spot and I know my mom has said the same thing because she moved around a lot when she was a kid and knows the difficulties of dealing with that. Anyway, moving to a new neighborhood doesn't mean never seeing your friends ever again.
Watson's personality is just too difficult for me to nail down. I really think he's a lousy father to Karen and Andrew but he really seems like a nice guy towards Kristy and the rest of the Thomas family. Only exception I can think of involves him bitching at Kristy when Karen messed up his car. Totally uncalled for since Kristy had a crisis on her hands and Louie needed to get to the vet asap. You can't tell me Karen didn't realize that she was screwing up the color on the car after the first few swipes.
I know I've talked about the different kinds of families in this book series and that was at least one thing they did right. I think blending families and the difficulties that first happen is another realistic thing. My guess is you have a few irl families that blend seamlessly and everything runs smoothly right from the get go. I bet a good number of families don't have it so easy.
Apparently Karen acted out a whole wedding with a kiss on Boo-Boo at the end.--I'm really surprised Boo Boo didn't hiss, try and swipe her and then run for dear life to hide under the bed for the rest of the week.
Love the snark and can't wait for the next part!

Blending families is hard sometimes. Wheter it's bringing another person in that has kids already, or another is born into the family, there's a weird period for everyone.
Boo Boo is probably trying to plot his damn escape from that crazy nuthouse. Thank you for reading and enjoying!!! :)
