Damn! Andrew is Johnny Long Torso in that second cover! His body proportions are really...off...

God, Watson is such an asshole. How can you become a stepfather and not help with the expenses of your stepchildren? Especially when you're a fucking MILLIONAIRE?! Can you imagine the RESENTMENT the Thomas kids would feel about this? Ann is basically saying that Watson doesn't see them as his real children. What a bitch.

Whenever I read about weddings, I always think, 'I want a wedding. It would be Rococo themed and have macarons and shit.' Then I remember I'm aro-ace and I'm like 'The fuck?! I NEVER want to get married! I just want a pretty dress!'

Here's my question: Did Watson have this attitude of "They're your kids and your responsibility to pay for their college funds?" I wonder how much of it is Elizabeth being nervous or even self conscious about being seen as a gold digger? I know the logic might seem wonky--it's not like she's going out shopping for jewelry and stuff like that.

I feel like its mainly Elizabeth feeling like they SHOULDN'T expect him to. While Watson isn't always a great father, he does treat the Thomas brood as well or better than his own two and he even gives Kristy a family heirloom in one of the LS books. I'm sure that he'd be willing to pay for their colleges or at least HELP with them.

Uughhhh. Don't mention that atrocity about the family heirloom. I can't afford an ER visit from running headfirst into the wall. But, really. You make a good point. I guess they were just trying to make it seem like Elizabeth wasn't marrying him for the money, but it comes off like they're separate parents with separate styles of living for their kids, rather than 'We're raising these kids together and sharing all finances'.

He does later on, but I never got the feeling from the earlier books that he really saw them as his, more like they were just latch-ons to his new wife.

It does seem like there's a wall if he's getting some of the money for Elizabeth's house.

When I got engaged, we originally thought of doing a Halloween themed wedding. (Our first date was a Halloween dance). I wanted this cake originally and realized it was like five hundred dollars http://www.skullspiration.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/skull-cake-2.jpg and it came with a beer flavored butter cream. Instead we got a two tied, heart shaped cake with a Snoopy Groom and A penguin Bride. Top layer was chocolate, bottom was strawberry. https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/419637_296714990402135_921796094_n.jpg?oh=98428b9e97c9f224d0cb6f127a07b4e3&oe=5582F841

Omg! That's so cute (both the cake and the first date!)! See? Things like that make me think I want a wedding!! But really I just want a cute cake and a pretty dress...Somehow I forget birthdays exist. But! I'm also a cheapskate and just want pizza and Rock Band on my b-day.

My idea of a good birthday is a day where someone else does the dishes. I don't even care for parties. Just give me a relaxing day, and I'm all good.

I, um, I'm old enough that I don't even care about presents anymore. But pizza? Mmmmm, especially if it's pesto with pine nuts and spinach and a whole wheat crust....

Thank you!

I know what you mean, as much as a cute cake is great... Rather Entimen's chocolate cake, some good food, soda and a movie. And books. Mustn't forget the books.

Also, dunno how much of a horror fan you are but I found this awesome cake:
