Writer's Block: Animal Instinct
I've always felt magnetism toward hummingbirds and otters.
Hummingbirds: tiny, fast, fierce, beautiful. I thought I read somewhere that they symbolized joy to Native Americans. There is something magical about them to me, and I always stop dead in my tracks whenever I see one.

So my GM wants to meet me on Friday for breakfast. He told me that my character can't be lost because she is too important to the story. He wants me to bring copies of my character info so a new player he just invited can play that character, now that I'm gone. I feel horrible about it. I demonstrated with the No on Prop 8 campaign from 6-10 last night. We went downtown to Horton Plaza and then back to Hillcrest. I feel shaky this morning. I am REALLY uncomfortable approaching people on the street. I am always one of those people who hates to be approached by people with clipboards. Reflections on being a grad student
I'm trying to figure out how much my desire for a laptop computer is due to its convenience... and how much it's "keeping up with the Joneses." It seems like everyone around me has a laptop, and I feel covetous when I see one. It's weird being a grad student and seeing people using them during lectures. My new favorite miniseries
Holy Moly!!
Not since discovering "The Twilight Zone" and "Memento" have I been so excited by science fiction & mystery genres. For those who enjoy both, check out the miniseries, "The Lost Room" with Peter Krause. I was hooked from beginning to end.
Another example of riveting storytelling, great acting, and compelling characters. WOW.
