I'm writing from a hotel room in the town of Vänersborg. I spent the day in another town (Halmstad) and when I booked my evening's travel from Halmstad to Vänersborg I sighed. The only way to get between these two towns just now is to take a short train ride followed by a long bus ride. A long day. Followed by a long ride on a freaking bus. Sigh ( Read more... )

• The entry room of our main cabin has been misinterpreted by our cats. They think it's their trophy room. Right there in the middle of the (formerly) nice rug they leave their little victims-of-the-night. Busy! Much catching up at work! Much Björn-time to catch up on after work! Busy!

I've barely read anything here for over a month but I suspect that normalcy is just around the bend.

Then I'll write something and read stuff and participate in life at a normal pace again.

When you work from home (as I do) and you have a house-husband (as I do) you can choose to do certain domestic chores that bring you pleasure AND you can choose to do them instead of taking ordinary coffee breaks in your work day. I can't remember ever needing - really NEEDING - a vacation from work as much I as do right now. For several reasons (almost all of them unavoidable) I have had unusually high stress with my job the past few months.

I'm sitting in a hotel room in my pajamas at almost 9 o'clock at night reading reports from a team of therapists I'll be talking to tomorrow. My role is to read their reports and give them feedback on their work.
