There are six roses left over from Valentine’s Day sitting in a vase. The edges have blackened; all but one rose is drooping. I can’t keep roses alive for more than two days. I fail at resolutions. This probably doesn't make up for it even if I've been working hard on it. The show opening and featured artist, coming to a small screen near you.

It’s hard to strum my guitar when my fingers itch with the dip in temperatures. I wore gloves all day yesterday. I went out for a few hours last night to take a peek at the plaza. Looks like I picked the right time to leave.

I'm not running away, since there isn't anything to run from. If there was, maybe I'd have a purpose or at least a really good reason. New York's not fitting me at the moment and neither is Philly. I've got my suitcase packed and Don holding my ticket.

Sweaty, sticky, sweet, that was just this morning. It's a wonder people love the hot weather so much. Peeling off the clothes on your back is the best feeling after a day of walking around the city and taking in not only the parks and people but also the sweltering heat and exhaust from traffic. St. Thomas was wonderful. I had some free time during shows to slip over to the beaches and get some nice sun. It's such a startling difference from New York. I'm so used to seeing the tall skyscrapers and hot dog vender's selling pretzels, that when I head to the Virgin Islands it truly is another world ( Read more... )

It's just about two weeks until Don and I play out on St. Thomas on behalf of 104.3 WZIN FM's The Buzz. I can already sense how lovely it'll be. We're only scheduled to play three shows in the Virgin Islands but I have a feeling we'll take a mini vacation while we're out there.
