Gotta get 'em all
I’ll end the year in a pot belly pig organization and open the New Year as a cartoon.
I was asked to come and support the MAPPAR again this year, which is that sweet organization that cares for stray animals of all kinds. It was an offer I couldn’t refuse so I’m going at the end of this month. Gigs have been flying it, like Andy’s in Chestertown and places unknown to me in Minnesota. Don will be joining me until he goes off on his own tour. His new CD is coming along great; he’s every bit as excited as I am.
I’m looking forward to the upcoming New Year since I signed a deal with Fox to let them use a host of my songs on their new Japanese anime import, Mew Mew. It’s from the creators of Pokemon, Mutant Ninja Turtles and Sonic X fame. It’s about four teenage girls with superpowers. The cartoons will be backed by my vocals; I even get to sing the theme. I can not explain how happy it makes me to know that I will be associated with cartoon every Saturday morning.
My cover of Boys of Summer was also picked up on a Compilation Cd that’s being made in Japan. It’ll be on with the likes of Aimee Mann, Moby, LeAnn Rimes and Ricki Lee Jones. Not bad after a relaxing summer.
