What I Learned on Misha's Summer Vacation
Earlier in July, Mitch and I borrowed a ten-year-old. Part of the rules of which he was apprised before the visit was that each day he was to do certain things: dishes, physical fitness, and mental fitness exercises. All in all, the visit was very educational. I'm not sure if Misha learned anything, but I certainly did.- Pre-tests are my friend. ( Read more... )

In which I argue with Z Recommends about the Obesity Epidemic
Z Recommends is a parenting blog I frequent; I generally agree with what I read there, though this time I did not. (Technically, this is at "The Tranquil Parent", which is a subsidiary of Z Recs.)
Specifically, I objected to their praise of this talk on TED.
