I am and have always been a "daddy's girl." By nature, I gravitate towards men like my father (goofy, sensitive, outgoing, active, etc. ).
At the same time, my mother has conditioned in me from a young age a lack of respect for men like my father.

So, simultaneously I fall for men like my father and also mock myself for it.

There are so many things going on in my life right now.
I get to this point where I just want to escape somehow, but instead I just watch myself enact and feel trapped. I want to cruise to Europe. I want to get a massage. So, it's spring break for me and I'm in Roanoke, VA, at my mom's. So far I have survived, with no big fights and it being almost pleasant. Hiding in the study doing homework helps, I'm sure. After break, without realizing it, I determined to fix a lot of the things in my life that have been bothering me. Since then, I've spent a lot more time with my friends (in Bloomington and elsewhere) and family, I've worked more towards my career through my internship, and I'm working at being more open. I went on a tangent about how my mother was a bad mother and made her cry.
I feel really, really, really bad.

So, Kevin and I are going to Disney World with his family for New Years. As lame as it sounds, it's just what I need. Some time to forget about adult stuff, relax, have fun, and remember childlike wonder.

This probably wouldn't mean much to anyone else, but.....I am a CSI fan, of course, but in the past few months I've seen episodes that feature songs from three of Nine Inch Nails' newest albums. And right now I am watching a CSI Miami episode that just began with TV on the Radio's "Wolf Like Me"--one of my favorite songs. Too good to be true.
