German Buffet progress
So for October Crown, I have prepped some very yummy treats. Tuesday night Cat, Cynthia and I made cheese balls and the German pickled vegetable recipe that Crystal was kind enough to forward to me. Saucing demo at Great Western War
I've been thinking about doing an artisans demonstration at GWW this year. My initial idea is to do sauces. I would have a pavilion and a shingle indicating what sauces or spice combinations are available and what they go with (meat, veggies, etc). Green walnuts soaking for nine days
In an attempt at a Medieval French dish that can travel well to Alaska in August, I am making candied green walnuts. I have green walnuts (unripe) that have been soaking for 7 days (2 more to go) If anyone has attempted to candy green walnuts, I'd appreciate any do's or don'ts you have learned in the process.
