Mary didn't have a lot of magical skills to offer the others who were trying to save Drake, but she was still eager to help. It was a nice evening, and Mary was sitting on her front porch, keeping busy by crocheting a scarf. (At least, she hoped it would come out looking like a scarf.)

Mary agonized over her choices before finally picking out a dress for tonight's date with Drake. She was a little nervous. After she finished washing and drying the dishes after dinner, Mary went back upstairs, wondering where Danny had gone off to. She found him in her bedroom, chatting on his cell phone. Mary lingered in the doorway, watching without him noticing her. It was nice to see the smile on his face. She had missed it.

Mary had put some time in at the motel in the morning, until she was certain that Old Guy had things under the control. She skipped out on the meet and greet at the park since no one would really be visiting her. It hadn't taken long for Mary to get packed, as she hadn't accumulated much while living at the motel. She was very excited about the new house. Yes, it was a little big for just her, but with Murdock also moving in too, she could justify the extra space.
Plus she could also justify buying new shoes to fill that walk-in closet.
