I cried my eyes out after every one of my shifts this week. Sometimes when I got home, sometimes as soon as I walked out of the building and got in my car. Feeling super emotional today. It's the ten year anniversary of Joel's death. The one year anniversary of my aunt Betty's death was just a few days ago. Both of them died so suddenly, so young. I've had a couple of mini-vacations this past month, it's been niiice. So glad I made it past my 90 days at work and got to start using my paid time off. It sucks that I wasn't able to take an actual vacation and get the hell out of Arizona this summer, but getting a break from work and spending lots of time in Phoenix with Emily was a decent ( Read more... )

Wow I'm way overdue for an update. I had a big life change! I got a job working at a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility and it's...insane. Last Sunday was amazing. I got my shift switched and went up to Phoenix to see Emily. Serena rode up with me, so we got to have lots of bonding time. Even though we live together we don't actually spend a ton of time together or go do fun stuff as much as we used to, so we were overdue for something like this.
