An Empty Bedroom
It’s been quiet at home since Lovey Bird moved out with her two cats. Our two felines have settled down and are not quite as agitated, which is nice. I haven’t heard any noises from her about Knucklehead picking a fight about the cats being there - she didn’t tell him they were coming although he had to have expected it fer cryin’ out loud.

On Becoming a Nana
My daughter is due on May 28th, which is still a few weeks away but she is smallish in stature and her belly looks huge. The sun is warm and bright
The sky is blue and clear
The air is cool and fresh
The clouds are white and fluffy

Ahhhh. Peace & Quiet
No phones.
No TV.
No computer.
Just sunshine, water, ospreys, fish, pines and the occasional water skier or wakeboard boat swishing by.
Vacation on the houseboat starts tomorrow.
Can't wait to pack up and go! -
It’s Official
I have concluded that the SCA is no longer fun. When given the choice between pitching a tent in the middle of a dry, weedy field bereft of any shade during nearly one hundred degree weather for an entire weekend versus hanging out on the family houseboat during the same weekend, I’ll take the water option anytime. The Fun Just Never Stops
People are getting their "pink slips" today (they are not really pink, BTW). I am not one of them as I've been with the County for sixteen years although I've been told that My Hairy Beloved may be getting one come September when the department wrangles out more budget deficits.
