My new home?
This place looks very nice and isn't that expensive (at least not when comparing other properties in the area), but there seems to be some issues with the on-site management staff. But I guess people only care to write a review if they have something to complain about, so it's probably not a bad as described...

After living 4+ hours from the closest IKEA for four years, I appreciate that I now live only 20 minutes from the closest "Swedish home way from home".

Today I logged on to my USCIS (a.k.a. "U.S. Immigration") account to check the status of my green card application. My hope was to get my I-140 (permanent visa) approved some time during November, and then wait up to a year for the Green Card. I should be all set for my New Zealand, Australia, Cook Islands and Fiji, so now I "only" have to get my U.S. work visa worked out so that I can enter the U.S. after my trip. -
10 days to go...
My visa expires in 10 days.
I wonder if my employer will file for an extension in time, or if I'll have to leave the country next weekend? -
