cabin fever

Since I don't have a vehicle available to me, I've been in the house almost constantly for five days.  I did get out tonight, but only to take Julia to gymnastics for an hour.  Another few days of this and you'll find me sitting in my closet, speaking gibberish and eating paste.

You may be 53 when Charlotte graduates from high school, but you will not be old. My mother is 57. In the past few years, before and after my brother graduated from high school, she has:

-visited my sister in Italy
-attended my college graduation
-attended my wedding (both in Tennessee)
-visited my cousin in Costa Rica
-attended my sister's college graduation (in Brooklyn)

Her life has expanded as we have needed her less. Hang on to that.

Kailea is 14.
Shiny is 2.
And Shiny may never graduate from high school, or not meaningfully--I am preparing to parent her the rest of my life.

I hear you--Shelby will be 32 when Elsa graduates HS. Too bad we can't collect a cool retirement after our 30 + yr Mom-careers! ((HUG))
