Disclaimer: Don’t own ‘Ooku’, or Arashi. This is what happens when I let my imagination off its leash.
A/N: This is not really based on ‘Ooku’, just a similar starting. Warning: M-preg (I know this is quite a weird topic for most people, I’m merely a crazy person who wanted to explore this universe) Readers discretion advised.
[Prologue][
Chapter 1] [Chapter 2] [Chapter 3] [Chapter 4] Chapter 5:
“It’s a bit small…” said Jun sheepishly as he slid the door close behind him, “but it’s the best I could get,”
Nino glanced around the room in awe. Jun’s place might be small, but it was very well decorated. Nino was starting to think that Jun was an interior decorator, for his tastes were superb. Nino could have been given a million years and he’ll still never be able to place all the furniture the way Jun did to make the tiny house look incredible.
“Wow,” breathed Nino, watching as Jun pulled out a spare futon for him.
Jun flushed at Nino’s reaction to his humble home. Feeling extremely abashed, but at the same time pleased that someone appreciated his tastes, Jun excused himself, saying he’ll prepare dinner. So while Jun was busy with the chicken he bought from the market, Nino knelt quietly by the table, watching the taller man prepare their meal.
Nino knew he had a stupid expression on his face which he would never be caught dead with that look on, but he couldn’t help but sigh over Jun. He was handsome, tall, nice, basically everything he wanted from the hero who would save him. This was the first client of his that even wanted to know him as a person, rather than a tool.
Client.
That word rang in Nino’s head so loudly that it hurt. Client. Nino turned away from the mini kitchen where Jun was chopping vegetables, and stared at the table. Of course, Jun was just a client and nothing more. He knows he shouldn’t get his hopes up. After all Jun might only want from him is a child. That and nothing more.
“Nino?” he heard a voice call him, making Nino snap out of his day dream. He didn’t know how long he had been thinking about the possibility of the existence of Jun’s feelings towards him, but apparently it was long enough for Jun to whip up a delicious meal of chicken and bits of vegetables sandwiched between two pieces of what Nino guessed were bread.
He never had such amazing food in such a long time. Back at the agency, Johnny had been so tight with food funds that Ohno didn’t really have much to work with when it comes to meals. This was the first time Nino ever had this dish, but he fell in love with it almost instantly.
“This is a ‘hamburger’,” said Jun, chucking at Nino’s look of pure bliss, “Someone from my village learnt it from some foreigners,”
Nino nodded, still grinning as he ate his food. Handsome, gentle and a good cook, what more could Nino hope for?
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Are you sure you’re not bored?” asked Jun for the umpteenth time, turning around to look at Nino who was kneeling a few meters behind him, watching his every move with eager eyes. Nino shook his head furiously, giving Jun a feline smile as though urging the taller man to return to his work. Jun let out a sigh before turning back to his work. On his table were sheets of parchments and ink in a myriad of colors and shades. In his hand his trusty brush which never failed to convey the designs in his head onto his paper.
Jun bit his lips subconsciously, concentrating on his idea for a new line of kimonos. This was going to be his big break. A well-known kimono store had agreed to give him a chance to show his potential, and no way was Jun going to screw this up. He knew he had talent, and he just knew he’ll be hired the instant the store’s boss saw his work. He just needed to complete an entire collection in two months. Problem is that he needed a few more designs that were good enough to make the cut. Beside his table was a trash bin full of beautiful designs that were just not beautiful enough for Jun.
Focused on his work, Jun didn’t even realize it was midnight until someone sounded a gong, startling the young designer. Instinctively, he turned to check on Nino. Jun felt a pang of guilt as he saw Nino still kneeling at the very same spot, not moving an inch ever since Jun started his work hours ago. His eyelids were drooping and his posture slouched. Jun wanted to punch himself for not keeping an eye on Nino. The smaller man seemed to notice that Jun was staring at him, causing Nino to straighten his posture and blink several times to focus.
“Are you tired?” asked Jun. Without waiting for an answer, Jun went to pull out the spare futon and laid it out for his guest, “You should sleep,”
“But, I…”
“I think I’ll turn in too,” added Jun hastily, knowing that Nino was still feeling shy around him.
After making sure that Nino was tucked into his futon, Jun blew out the candles before slipping into his own. Time seemed to have slowed as Jun laid on his back, trying to sleep despite it being extremely awkward having someone else in his room which he had been living in by himself for the past week. He could faintly hear Nino’s light breathing, making him wonder if the younger man was asleep or not. Curious, Jun turned to his side to face Nino, and to his surprise found the smaller man’s caramel-brown eyes staring back at him.
Jun noticed the shock in Nino’s eyes just as the smaller man shut them tight, pretending to be asleep, but Jun knew better. He may not be the best in reading expressions, but Jun knew that look in Nino’s eyes. It was like a little kitten being taken away from its mother and being placed in an unfamiliar environment. Jun sighed.
Next thing he knew, Jun was throwing off his blankets as he made his way across the small gap between his and Nino’s futon. Nino could barely gasp in surprise as he felt Jun slip beside him, gently wrapping an arm around his head and another around his abdomen and pulling him close.

AN: Sorry for the long wait!! I've been busy with New Year and stuff, but now that I've settled in to the new year, I try to post as frequently as I can. Hope the Matsumiya-ness is good enough, because things are going to get bad for Nino in the next next chapter. Thanks for your patience
