Summary: In an alternate history, an unknown disease resulted in the extinction of females. Thankfully evolution saved the human species from dying out.
Disclaimer: Don’t own ‘Ooku’, or Arashi. This is what happens when I let my imagination off its leash.
A/N: This is not really based on ‘Ooku’, just a similar starting. Warning: M-preg (I know this is quite a weird topic for most people, I’m merely a crazy person who wanted to explore this universe) Readers discretion advised.

Chapter 1] [Chapter 2] [Chapter 3]Chapter 4:
Nino didn’t really understand how people think. It might be because he wasn’t allowed to go to school to learn it, or it might be because people are just so weird that it is impossible to understand why they act like they do. He knows he is worth a lot. He’s not stupid. He knows that people like him a worth almost an entire village. They were rare and the only way for anybody to continue their genetic line.
So why were they treated like dirt?
Nino rolled around on his futon, going stir-crazy from not being allowed out of his room for the last three days. He was hoping to think of it as a vacation, but having his food privileges taken away to make up for the loss of profits just pushed him to the border of insanity.
In fact, he was so delirious that he didn’t even notice that someone had entered the room. It could be Johnny here to make his life miserable, or it could be another client to take advantage of him, he didn’t care, all he wanted was that herb Sho used to knock him our.
“Nino, you have a client this evening,” said Ohno as the receptionist laid a tray of food out in front of the starving Nino, before helping the younger man into a sitting position. Nino could barley stifle the groan that escaped. Although it was nice to be finally let out of his room after being held prisoner because Johnny didn’t want the news of his failure to spread, it kind of sucked knowing that the only reason he was allowed out of his room was because of another client.
“Eat up,” continued Ohno, gently pressing a pair of chopsticks into Nino’s hands, “and get some rest,”
Despite having gone without food for almost three whole days, Nino wasn’t the least bit hungry. All he managed was a few scoops of rice and the bowl of miso soup before he collapsed into his futon, wondering who his next client would be. Knowing from past experience, it was probably another burly farmer or a stingy merchant who wanted a son and nothing more from him. His village was so full of these stereotypes that Nino knew that his dream from a long time ago would never come true.
Ever since his first day on the job, Nino knew that he wanted the most - a handsome knight, who was big and strong enough to protect him, brave enough to rescue him from the evil claws of Johnny and whisk him off to a huge castle where they would love each other until they died. With each client, Nino’s expectations fell. Now, he didn’t even care if his prince was handsome, or strong. His prince could be poor for all he cared as long as they were able to get him out of the hell hole he was currently living in.
Not long later, Nino found himself in the chamber, waiting for his client to arrive. To be more specific, he was waiting for the session to be over so he could get a hot shower. Kneeling beside the futon that had been laid out, Nino tried to guess if it was a farmer or a merchant. They both had their pros and cons, but either ways, the probability of them being nice to him was low.
Nino heard the door slide open. Nervous, he kept his gaze on the tatami mats as his client walked up to him until Nino could see the hem of his hakama. From the worn fabric, Nino guessed it was another merchant, looks like it was going to be another five months of barely given enough to eat. His client knelt down in front of him, and if that wasn’t enough to shock Nino, what his client did next certainly did. Instead of pushing him onto the floor and ripping off his clothes, this one cupped his face and lifted his head so that they were making eye contact.
“Hello,” said his client.
Nino swore his heart stop beating.
Finally! His luck had turned around. After all those years of being mistreated, his fairytale was about to come true. This client of his was nothing like the previous ones. This one was actually good looking to begin with. His soot black hair combed to perfection, gorgeous eyes shone and a gentle smile to complete the look. Nino didn’t care if he was poor, he knew that this client was the one who was going to save him. He even asked for his name!
“You don’t need to know,” whispered Nino, a line that Johnny had taught him to say.
“But I want to know,”
And with that, Nino’s heart melted like butter on a hot plate, “Nino…” he sighed dreamily.
“I’m Matsumoto Jun,” his client introduced himself, “And I apologize in advance if I hurt you,”
As gently as he could, Jun helped Nino down onto the futon before stripping himself and then helping Nino shrug his robe off. Jun may not be the first man to explore his body, but to Nino it felt like he was. It was exactly like his first time - his face felt hot, he didn’t want to look at Jun but yet he wanted to. He hadn’t felt so shy in such a long time, it was as though his body was actually his.
“I’ll be gentle,” said Jun, brushing Nino’s hair away from his face. Nino didn’t want to admit it, but he actually wanted Jun inside of him. He know he was being stupid, but with Jun, he didn’t feel violated, he didn’t feel as though he was being taken advantage of, he didn’t feel as though it was job.

When Sho announced ‘positive’, Nino could barely stop himself from grinning. While Johnny was congratulating the father-to-be, Nino watched Jun’s radiating smile, feeling extremely pleased with himself for being able to make Jun that happy. It may only be for five months, but Nino wanted to make every moment with Jun count.
After Johnny had left with Ohno and Sho, Nino sat quietly beside the table, a faint blush on his cheeks from last night, as Jun approached him. Jun was the first person to give his sincere gratitude and even hugged him tightly.
“I know it’s still soon, and the contract said starting from the third month,” began Jun, ruffling Nino’s hair softly, “but would you move in with me?”
Nino thought this fairytale come true could not be more than perfect, and hastily agreed. Besides, it’s not like Johnny could refuse not having to be responsible for his meals and well being.

AN: To be honest, I’m very disappointed in this chapter. I was hoping for the Matsumiya moment to be much more, well…romantic or something along that line, but this is the best bullshit I could come up with. Oh well. Jun appeared! And he asked Nino to move in with him. Yay! One more thing - kindly do not be bothered too much with the details of Nino’s pregnancy (it was weird typing that out), after all, it’s an m-preg story. (Of course the real reason is that I was too lazy to come up with the details)
