[Prologue][ Chapter 1]

Chapter 2:

“I’m back,” mumbled Nino as he slid the agency’s front door open. The place was dark and empty, just how Nino liked it. After what he had just been through, Nino didn’t want to have to stop and exchange a few polite words with the other people working at the agency, he just wanted to head straight for his room and collapse onto his futon. Navigating his way to the back where his room was, Nino was about to slide his room door open when someone beat him to it.

“Welcome back, Nino,” said a voice in the dark. A smile forced its way to his face as Nino sank to the floor, a pair of warm arms encircling his small body and pulling him close. Nino found himself pressed flat against the muscular chest of the physician who had looked after him ever since he could remember, “Thanks for your hard work,”

“Thanks, Sho-chan,” yawned Nino, truly exhausted after his walk back. The journey was long, and after giving birth, his legs weren’t at their strongest. The coldness was awful, but what made the walk truly unbearable were the cat calls he had to tolerate. Although he was sure nobody dared to jump him after what Johnny did to the first and last person who had dared to, it was horrible having to bear with the wolf-whistles and name-callings. However, Nino knew that once he made it back to the agency, everything would be better for just one night - Sho would hold him tight and made him feel protected and Ohno would make prepare a delicious meal.

A pair of chopsticks was pushed into his hands just as the sweet aroma of Teriyaki chicken filled his room. Nino smiled weakly at the agency’s receptionist before digging into the delicious albeit small portion of grilled chicken and miso soup. Exhausted, Nino couldn’t really remember what happened after dinner, but he was certain he fell asleep against Ohno’s shoulders while Sho hugged him around the waist, it was perfect, even though they won’t be there the next morning.

The bright light of dawn filtered through the slit between his sliding doors, letting Nino that it was already morning. It was the start of another cycle.

Groggy, Nino scrambled into a sitting position. Sho and Ohno were gone just as he expected. Johnny would have their heads if he had caught them in his room for non business purposes. Sitting in that position for a while, Nino’s thoughts started drifting off to the alternate reality that could have been his if he weren’t ‘gifted’ with his abilities. That little factory on the edge of the village would be his, passed down from his grandfather, to his father and then to him. He might be yelling at his workers to work faster while the love of his life nursed their son in the back room of the factory.

Nino rubbed his forehead, silently reprimanding himself for letting his thoughts run wild. That life would never be his, not since the day his father signed him over to Johnny. Knowing that if he stayed in his room any longer, his thoughts would run even further than it already did, Nino got up and headed to the reception where Ohno would have a name for him.

“Morning, Nino,” beamed Ohno as the receptionist spotted him.

“Morning, Oh-chan,” Nino returned the greeting, although not as cheery as the older man’s, “What time is he coming?”

He saw Ohno rummage through a stack of parchment, making Nino wonder why Ohno was even hired to be the agency’s receptionist when he wasn’t such an organized person. The older man finally pulled out a piece of document before reading it out loud, “Noon…apparently he’s some rich businessman needing a heir, so…”

“Thanks, Oh-chan,” Nino interjected before the receptionist gave him too much information about his next client. He didn’t want to know them personally. After all, it was just a job, nothing more than that. Knowing too much would only make him emotionally attached. Judging by the position of the sun, Nino guessed that he had some time to prepare himself, physically and emotionally, before his next client arrived. He was about to leave when he spotted the agency’s physician through the corner of his eyes.

Like a creepy stalker, he watched from the corner as Sho flirted with Ohno during the little time he had during his break. The scene in front of him deepened a crack that had been in his heart ever since. It wasn’t said out loud, but Nino knew very well that Sho was with Ohno and Ohno was with Sho. There was never a threesome between them like how they made it look like. They were only nice people who agreed to take him into their little love nest because unlike them, Johnny had banned him from any relationships. He said it might affect his work.

So with a heavy heart, Nino trooped back to his room, letting his imagination drift to the day when a handsome young lad would rescue him from this hell.

“You are as good as they say you are,” groaned the man whose name Nino didn’t want to know. Nino couldn’t be bothered to reply as he bit his tongue while draping his forearm over his eyes, not wanting to see what was going on.

He had lost track of the number of times he had spread his legs for some man who was desperate for an heir. Apparently he was the best of his kind in the village, but seeing how there was only one other boy in the local agency, there wasn’t really much of a competition.

It was only when he felt the man’s seeds being deposited in him as the man pulled himself out that Nino finally allowed himself to look. Taking his own sweet time to open his eyes, the first sight that greeted him was his client getting dressed, and not at all bothered to helped Nino up or at least cover him.

“My father really wants a grandson,” said his burly client as he approached Nino, “So bear me a son, okay?” he laughed, patting Nino’s tummy. His client must have either misjudged how strong he was or completely ignorant of Nino’s fragility, for the strength he used made Nino cringe in pain.

“See you tomorrow,” he grinned before sliding the door shut behind him. Glad that it was finally overly, Nino covered his eyes with his arm again, not believing his luck. Why must all the guys that are able to afford his services be really big-sized and not the least bit gentle.

“Are you okay?” asked Sho as he entered the room.

“Of course I am,” replied Nino sarcastically, causing the physician to give him a sad smile. After giving him some herbs that was supposed to make him sleepy and getting him dressed, Sho carried Nino back to his room and tucked him into his futon, “He’ll be back in the evening tomorrow for the test,” said Sho, “So you have the whole day to rest,”

Nino nodded tiredly. The effect of the herbs kicked in and not long later, Nino was fast asleep, one arm supporting his head, the other on his stomach.

AN: Thanks for reading! Hope you are enjoying the story so far. I know it's a bit slow, because I really want to show how horrible Nino's life is (so that Jun can save him) As usual, comments are loved <3
