We opened our presents this morning, and Em was such a grouch. We thought at first it was because she didn't get what she wanted for Christmas (translation -- lots and lots of toys and a Wii). Daughter and partner ended up coming here after all. EKG done at the hospital, and heart was fine. She even got the good news that she no longer has a heart murmur, so that's great. She is having such a hard time with her meds. She did well while here, which was really nice. We ended up watching SHREK the THIRD as we'd purchased it and they hadn't ( Read more... )

We were supposed to get together with all of my daughters (including daughter-in-love) but DIL has taken ill. She has really been struggling since being released from the hospital. They didn't wean her off of the Paxil she was taking when they put her on the tricyclic meds. She is having awful heart palpitations -- having arrythmia myself, I ( Read more... )

We only had to wait four and a half years, but we NOW have new steps AND the new handrail! Where there were two crumbled barely-there steps before, there are now four lovely brand new steps.

Well, it is quite possible that we will get up to four inches of snow tomorrow, and that would be nice. It is the predicted freezing rain that is NOT so nice.
