...it's really strange to go back and read this community after all these years. (Was looking for a copy of the exercises to clean up for my new group.)
If anyone is interested, I'm in town and will be doing Chen stuff with people tomorrow (Saturday) at the Volunteer Park stage or thereabouts, from 10am on. (Actually I'll be there at nine, but the first hour is reserved for doing cannonfist stuff with J & R.)
Wednesday night I had the last practice in the big Artspawn studio space. After practice was over, I secured the keys, turned off the lights, and locked everything up. It was a good three (four?) years.
It's looking like I will be in Seattle the last few days of December and most of the first week of January. I know this can be a difficult time to schedule anything, but I'm really hoping to spend time with both the University and Artspawn groups, to whatever extent y'all are still around. (And with the Shaolin folks, and with CWTA...)
This is the one that I've been following along on to try not to forget what I've learned. It seems fairly close to the style we do, with a few differences (his "twist step" has a large lean in it, for instance).
